I’m going to be the first one to say this… these are nothing ground breaking! You’ve probably heard all these before and maybe even tried them before. This is merely a reminder, a prompt to get back into positive habits.
As the days grow darker and colder, it’s even more important to prioritise yourself and your mental health. These are 5 mindful habits that I’m trying to get back into this autumn to try and be the most positive and energised I can be.
Gratitude. Practising gratitude is such a positive habit to start! Making the effort each day to come up with something you’re grateful for (even on the worst days) helps you appreciate the small things in life and generally be a happier person. I’m going to be incorporating this in my bullet journal- writing 1 thing I’m grateful for each day.
Set a daily intention. Note the word intention, not goal. This isn’t another thing that needs to be done, this is you choosing your mind-set for the day. Will you be positive, energised, kind to yourself, present, move out of your comfort zone? Again, I will write mine each morning in my bullet journal.
Get back into yoga. Pretty self explanatory and I’m sure you know the benefits!
Time away from screens. This is the hard one! I’m going to try and spend 1 hour off technology before I sleep and not look at my phone until I am ready for the day.
Spend time outside. This gets harder as it gets colder and wetter but also more important! I’m going to try and walk more and visit local parks. I’m also going to try and do most of my running outside, not on the treadmill.
